This was the second time that I read this particular book and my second impression is pretty much the same as the first. It was a strong second installment in the series, action packed with memorable characters both old and new. I wasn't particularly interested in the romance between Scarlet and Wolf, it sort of fell into the typical teen angst romance trap and I found myself becoming bored with it fairly quickly. Also while Scarlet's firecracker temper was moderately amusing at first, it also quickly lost traction after the first few explosions. The main draw for me was Cinder, Thorne and Iko's "on page" chemistry, they traded quips back and forth in a very entertaining manner. Iko's reaction to her new "body" was hilarious!
